Places of Interest Near Tynemouth The Railway and the steamship have linked places together once far apart and round Tynemouth many scenes, remarkable for their picturesque features, and interesting for their historical and ecclesiastical associations, are readily accessible from Tynemouth, and may very properly, in a Guide Book compiled for the use of the stranger, be treated as part and parcel of the attractions of the place, to be the brief sojourners in it. An occasional run by land or water will tend to throw off the languor and listlessness apt to result from a residence in the most stirring of watering places and nowhere in England are there so many so varied attractions, with easy distance, as there are within a few miles of Tynemouth.
