What a time we are having at Whitley Bay.

"Dear Mrs Anderson I have been twice lately to Shields to see you, but no one in the house. Can you come soon to lower that base as it is quite ready now. Will you please write a line to say if you can. Trusting you and your husband are quite well this cold weather. Yours respectfully T. E."
