The Fishermen's Mission is on the Fish Quay at North Shields, right next to the fishing boats. It is run by a Superintendent and volunteers. They will offer advice and support to callers. Any seaman is given a warm welcome.

He can have a good meal and relax in friendly surroundings which may be many miles from home. There are bathrooms where he can wash or take a shower. There are regular religious services. The motto of the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen is 'Spread the Gospel, Heal the Man.'
