| Map of the Island | The foreshore at St. Mary's is an exciting place to explore but the rocks can be slippery and are obviously an uneven surface. So care does need to be taken when working on the shore. Perhaps surprisingly we do not recommend wearing wellies on your visit, as we feel this encourages plodging in the pools and consequent damage to the creatures that live in them. Old trainers or sandshoes are best footwear. We usually have some items of spare clothing (for cases of unplanned immersion!), but it's helpful if you are able to bring some too. Please also remember to advise your adult helpers about appropriate clothing and footwear. |
